The Constellations
سُورَةُ البُرُوجِ

- 1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ
VID NATTHIMLEN, smyckad med stjärnbilder!
By the sky containing great stars
- 2
وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ
Vid den utlovade Dagen!
And [by] the promised Day
- 3
وَشَاهِدٍۢ وَمَشْهُودٍۢ
Vid Vittnet och Vittnesbördet!
And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
- 4
قُتِلَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ
GUDS förbannelse över dem [som grävde] en grav [för de troende],
Cursed were the companions of the trench
- 5
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ
[en grav] av eld med rikligt bränsle,
[Containing] the fire full of fuel,
- 6
إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌۭ
och som satte sig intill den
When they were sitting near it
- 7
وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌۭ
för att själva bevittna den [illgärning] som de här begick mot de troende!
And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.
- 8
وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ
De ville hämnas på dem enbart därför att de trodde på Gud, den Allsmäktige, som allt lov och pris tillkommer,
And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,
- 9
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ
Han som äger herraväldet över himlarna och jorden. Men Gud är vittne till allt.
To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.
- 10
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
De som utsätter troende män och kvinnor för [svåra] prövningar och som inte därefter känner ånger, skall utlämnas åt helvetets straff, ja, de skall utlämnas åt eldens plåga!
Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.
- 11
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ
[Men] de som tror och lever ett rättskaffens liv [skall stiga in i] lustgårdar, vattnade av bäckar - detta är den stora segern!
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.
- 12
إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
Din Herres hämnd är fruktansvärd!
Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.
- 13
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
Det är Han som inleder skapelsen och som skall förnya den.
Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.
- 14
وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ
Han är Den som ständigt förlåter, den Kärleksfulle,
And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,
- 15
ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ
Herren till maktens och ärans tron,
Honorable Owner of the Throne,
- 16
فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
Han som i allt genomför Sin vilja.
Effecter of what He intends.
- 17
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ
HAR DU [Muhammad] hört hur det gick för den armé
Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -
- 18
فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ
som Farao [sände ut för att genskjuta Israels barn], och för [stammen] Thamud?
[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?
- 19
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍۢ
Trots detta envisas förnekarna med att vilja göra sanningen till lögn;
But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,
- 20
وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ
men Gud har dem i Sin makt fastän de inte är medvetna om det.
While Allah encompasses them from behind.
- 21
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ
Nej, detta är en ärorik Koran [med budskap]
But this is an honored Qur'an
- 22
فِى لَوْحٍۢ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ
inristade på en [oförstörbar] tavla.
[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.
